BACTEROMIC: Faster Access to Precise and Effective Antibiotic Therapies
BACTEROMIC is a diagnostic system designed to address one of the most important challenges in modern medicine – multidrug resistance.
BACTEROMIC consists of an analyzer, filling device, and panels for drug susceptibility assessment. As an automated system, it significantly simplifies and shortens laboratory procedures required for evaluating the drug susceptibility of microorganisms.
Microfluidic solutions are the heart of BACTEROMIC system.
BACTEROMIC merges the gold standard dilution method with state-of-the-art microfluidics and integrated artificial intelligence, enabling the testing all relevant antibiotics in a single assay.
BACTEROMIC Diagnostic Panel
Single highly informative panel - comprehensive testing and precise antibiotic therapies.
Each incubation chamber is connected to a chamber that serves as an air reservoir to ensure the growth of aerobic bacteria.
The incubation chambers are separated from each other by non-polar fluid, forming a barrier that prevents the diffusion of antibiotics.
BACTEROMIC is highly informative and offers a comprehensive antibiogram.
- 640 incubation chambers per panel
- Real MIC value for each antibiotic
- Capacity to identify synergies
- Single panel for both G+ and G-
- Automated analysis capable of handling up to 60 cartridges simultaneously
- A single panel designed for ease of use and convenience

Procedure
ONLY 3 STEPS
Step 1
Transfer bacterial isolate onto panel.
Step 2
Automated partitioning of the sample into microchambers - up to 10 panels in parallel.
Step 3
Automated analysis of up to 60 panels in parallel, with random access, real-time reporting, and LIS connectivity.
Procedure of use
Studies conducted in specialist diagnostic centres have confirmed the functionality of the BACTEROMIC system in effective identification of the drug susceptibility of bacteria causing a number of infections.
As emphasized by doctors and experts at the World Health Organization (WHO), antibiotic resistance is one of the most serious challenges in modern medicine.
Isolate bacterial strain
Prepare monoculture bacterial suspension
Transfer suspension into panel
Close the
cap
Place the panels in the rack
Transfer filled panels to analyzer
Automated analysis of up to 60 cartridges in parallel
